The Rise of the Antinomian Empire in opposition to the 2nd Galactic Alliance
Brotherhood of Rann
Within the confines of the known worlds the idea of supernatural powers and gods is a common historic influence amongst the more developped races. But a large portion (over 60%) of once superstitious races lost their ability to put faith into unknowable things. While the Rannian people were amongst the first to reject religious faith they felt a responsibiity to catalogue the lost Gods of old. So it was that as part of the Rannian space mission the brotherhood sought out new civilisations and documented the religious texts.
The pattern became clear to the brothers, who found world after world in the throws of An atheistic revolution. During the battles between the empire and the alliance the brotherhood were able to act in diplomatic endeavers between the factions. Not all parties reacted well to the brotherhoods interfering, one such antagonist began hunting down the monks of the brotherhood. The last years of the brotherhood were filled with hiding and fear of the Juntull.
